                                              FISH SCREEN

                                              SELF-CLEANING INTAKE SCREEN

Intake screens are typically designed to protect fish from being entrained into a diversion and to prevent them from being impinged on the screen surface.  This means that the screen openings must be small enough to keep the fish out and that there is enough screen area to allow the fish to swim away without injury.  Our unit is capable of pumping 5000gpm with a low intake velocity of only 0.2ft/sec enabling Delta Smelt and other fish of concern to escape the intake area.

                                              WATER QUALITY MONITORING

                                              DATA COLLECTION PLATFORMS

Our custom built floating data collection platforms use Campell CR-1000 data collectors to interface with our sondes.  The data is then transmitted via cell tower network to our partners at Eyasco who aggregate, store and post results via near real-time internet graphing.

                                              MULTI-PARAMETER SONDES

                                              HACH HYDROMET DS5X

The DS5X multi-parameter sondes track Temperature, Conductivity, pH, Dissolved Oxygen & Turbidity.  The sonde measures turbidity using the intensity of light scattered by particles in the water sample at 90° from an 880 nm light source. The readings are displayed as NTU. The sensor also uses electronic modulation/demodulation techniques to reject errors due to ambient light.

                                              HACH QUANTA

The Quanta is a hand held water quality monitoring instrument capable of reading the same parameters as the DS5X above.  DMS uses the quanta to take spot measurements and authenticate sonde readings in the field.
