Dixon Marine Services, Inc. was founded in 1998, by Rebecca Dixon and Mark Sutton who have more than 25 years of experience in marine and wetlands operations. This certified woman-owned small business believes in enjoying and preserving the natural environment and its native inhabitants. By participating and consulting for environmental restoration and remediation projects occurring on the west coast, the work and dedication to that belief is a reflection of the company. DMS has extensive experience in developing conceptual field programs and carrying the concept through full implementation and data presentation. Collectively, the team has a strong process engineering experience, proven water quality assessment capability, and first hand fishery experience. DMS is familiar with both the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and are regularly engaged in projects where compliance with certification and permit requirements is essential

DMS is an integration of scientists and operating engineers whose focus is providing marine services related to water quality assessment, sediment evaluation and removal, upland management of impacted sediments, and mitigation and restoration of wetlands. Our oceanographic contracting service offers our clients technical expertise as well as an extensive inventory of custom marine water quality monitoring platforms with full telemetry capability. DMS has also developed a broad array of sediment coring and drilling systems that support environmental toxicology, geotechnical investigations, ocean engineering, marine sedimentology, and dredge material testing activities.
