Dixon Marine Services, Inc. (DMS) was founded in 1998 by Rebecca Dixon and Mark Sutton, who have more than 25 years of experience in marine and wetlands operations. We are a certified woman-owned small business that believes in enjoying and preserving the natural environment and its native inhabitants. By participating and consulting for environmental restoration and remediation projects occurring on the west coast, the work and dedication to that belief is a reflection of our company. 

DMS has accomplished a wide variety of projects on the water.  We provide private and public sector clients with marine & environmental science consulting services including sediment characterization, water quality monitoring, physical oceanography, construction management, and dredge material management.  Collectively, the team has a strong process engineering experience, proven water quality assessment capability, and first hand fishery experience. Familiar with both the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Environmental Policy Act, DMS is regularly engaged in projects where compliance with certification and permit requirements is essential.

DMS is an integration of scientists and operating engineers with backgrounds in marine biology, icthyology, hydrogeology, engineering, geography and environmental science, whose focus is to provide marine services related to water quality assessment, sediment evaluation and removal, upland management of impacted sediments and restoration of wetlands. Our skilled staff continues to develop new technological applications and work with the latest water quality and sediment sampling (vibracore) equipment available to provide accurate and reliable data on a consistent basis.
